Tradition Energy Director Joins Building Association's Sustainability Committee

STAMFORD, CT (May 21, 2009)—Tradition Energy, one of the nation’s largest energy management advisors, today announced that Bill Cannon has been named to the board of Southern Connecticut BOMA’s Sustainability Committee.

“This newly formed committee will help educate Southern Connecticut BOMA members on energy and environmental sustainability issues,” commented Bill Cannon, who serves as Tradition Energy’s Director of Commercial & Industrial Accounts, NY, NJ & CT Region. “We’ll create awareness for environmental products like Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and green power, and for programs like demand response, which can generate a revenue stream for qualified power customers. We’ll also educate members about efficiency initiatives like Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Energy Star certifications, which make buildings more attractive to tenants while also being environmentally responsible. We’ll conduct tours of building sites where members can see sustainable practices being applied, and we’ll develop a ‘road map’ for buildings that are just starting to go green.”

Tradition Energy’s role will also include energy market monitoring by providing quarterly outlooks, analysis and price forecasts.
