Houston, TX (Thursday, October 23, 2008)—Tradition Energy, one of the nation’s largest energy management advisors, today announced that Addison Armstrong, Director of Market Research, will attend the emergency meeting of OPEC in Vienna and broadcast his commentary live on CNBC’s Fast Money tonight, Thursday October 23rd, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Addison Armstrong appears regularly on CNBC as one of only three expert energy contributors. He is also quoted frequently by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Bloomberg, Dow Jones, and Reuters.
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) called an emergency meeting to be held Friday in Vienna, Austria to decide on production cuts in an effort to spur slumping prices. OPEC President Chakib Khelil has already alluded to a “significant” reduction from the present daily output of around 29 million barrels. Armstrong foresees a cut of 1 million to 1.5 million barrels now, with the potential for another 500,000 barrels to be cut after the U.S. presidential election.
