Tradition Energy Helps Put the “Green” in Greenwich11/12/2008
STAMFORD, CT (November 6, 2008)—Tradition Energy, one of the nation’s largest energy management advisors, today announced that they have advised in procuring energy for ING Clarion Partners’ 425,000 square foot office complex at the Greenwich Office Park, including the purchase of 100% green power.
“Greenwich Office Park is a unique property known for its park-like setting, with nine buildings on 23 landscaped acres,” comments Alisa Landau of CB Richard Ellis, which manages Greenwich Office Park. “Purchasing 100% green energy seemed like a natural extension of the environmental stewardship we practice on our campus and throughout the ING and CBRE portfolios. We have previously worked with Tradition Energy and were confident in again partnering with Tradition to procure energy that made financial and environmental sense for the park and its owner.”
“Greenwich Office Park wanted to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability with its energy procurement,” says Alan Kurzer, President, Tradition Energy. “We were able to help the park reach that goal while staying within its target price per kWh. Their purchase will qualify the property to be an EPA Green Power Partner, where they’ll be in good company with organizations like Dell, PepsiCo, NYU, Whole Foods Market, and the World Bank Group.”
Earlier this year, ING Clarion Partners and Albert D. Phelps worked with Tradition Energy to ensure that the 1.4 million square foot Merritt 7 Corporate Park in Norwalk, CT was able to go green and gain recognition as one of the top 25 EPA Green Power Partners.
